iFilm English TV to air ‘A Cube of Sugar’

iFilm’s feature film ‘A Cube of Sugar’ has been scheduled to go on air on October 16, 2021.

Produced and directed by Reza Mirkarimi, the movie depicts some old traditions in a classic Iranian family.

The movie narrates the story of a young girl from a traditional Iranian family who is set to marry the son of a family friend who lives abroad.

As her entire family arrives to take part in the wedding ceremony, an unexpected event turns the joy of the moment into sadness and sorrow.

The movie cast list includes Negar Javaherian, Farhad Aslani, Ali-Asghar Hemmat, Parivash Nazariyeh, Reza Kianian, Rima Raminfar, Hedayat Hashemi, Saeed Pour-Samimi, Amir-Hossein Arman, and Shamsi Fazlollahi.

‘A Cube of Sugar’ was picked to represent Iran at the 2013 edition of the Academy Awards.

The movie, made in 2011, is scheduled to go on air on Saturday at 22:00 GMT.

iFilm English will also repeat the movie the next day at 04:00, 10:00 and 16:00 (all GMT times).
